Idealists United Chapters are made up of a group of individuals (students or non-students) who join forces to help mainstream Human Rights education, awareness and action in their communities. The importance of these chapters is immeasurable. Our Chapters, with the support of Idealists United, help to inspire and support their community to get informed and active.
Starting an IU chapter is a great way for you to raise awareness and increase action in your school and/or community. The Human Rights Movement will not succeed unless people like you take the initiative, step up and get involved. Getting organized is one of the first steps necessary to creating lasting positive change. Your Chapter will work with Idealists United to increase the Human Rights climate in your community by educating and empowering individuals.
When you create an IU Chapter you are not alone. You will garner the support of individuals in your community and you will be connected with the network of other IU Chapters and idealists. Plus Idealists United staff will be there to provide you with ongoing support to help you and your chapter be successful.
